Studying is, of course, the main reason you’re in college. It’s important to prioritize your academic responsibilities. Here’s a simple strategy you can follow:

  • Set a Study Schedule: Allocate specific hours of the day for studying. Make this a non-negotiable part of your routine.
  • Break Down Your Tasks: Large projects can be daunting. Break them down into smaller, manageable tasks.
  • Avoid Procrastination: Don’t put off tasks until the last minute. This leads to stress and subpar work.


One day, a freshman walked into my office looking despondent. “I spend all my time studying, I don’t have any friends,” she confessed. College is not just about academics. It’s also about making lifelong friends and creating memories.

Here are some tips to help you balance your social life:
